It is very helpful for changing your paradigm. This excellent book open the eyes to a new approach in life.
I think this book gives some good tools for making such transformations. As a Norwegian, not used to using the big words, the style of american books can be perceived as somewhat noisy and annoying at times. This book is not among the worst, however, and through it all the author manages to convey a powerful message: Through mindful work it IS possible to change crabby habits of mind into more constructive ones.
Marilee Adams provides a path to the questions that lead to the experiences we all desire. This book's simple message has profound implications. No matter roles you play - parent, manager, CEO, friend, spouse - your questions influence your ability to respond to the challenges around you and build effective relationships.
It is simply written, but its impact is tremendous. This book provides insightful questions and highlights the many opportunities we have to make productive choices in our day to day lives. Marilee has done an outstanding job providing a framework for the path to chose or react. Change Your Questions, Change Your Life provides powerful life lessons told in a relatable story. I would highly recommend it to clients and Coaches. It provides a process for recognizing communication pitfalls and a way to navigate back to healthy and meaningful dialogue. It effectively captures the impact and power of asking questions that open the door to understanding, new ideas, broader concepts, possibilities and innovation. As a Life Coach, it is questions that lay the groundwork for revelations and breakthroughs for clients.
For those with any experience, the book is great for a coffee coaster. The topic of this book is interesting, but it really offers little insight for anyone with an established career. If you're a college student with no relevant work experience, this book may provide some insight on the relevance of analytical thinking in the framework of questions.
